Climate change is caused by a lot of positive feedback processes whose output is an increase in the temperature of the earth.

An example of a positive feedback process is when you move a microphone closer and closer to its loudspeaker. At first, nothing seems to happen, then. the system starts to ring, then a tipping point is reached and all hell breaks loose. The amplifier puts out all the noise it possibly can. Moving the microphone back doesn’t help. Maybe you can turn the volume down low enough to stop the noise. Maybe the speaker or amplifier gets damaged. Maybe you just have to pull the plug.

CO2 production is the biggest part of anthropomorphic climate change, we have to stop it ASAP.

CO2 based processes:

  • burning fossil or plant-based fuel
  • destruction of rain forests
  • forest fires
