Emails
Background.
Before we the people can fix the nation, we all need to understand the problem. The Fix the USA email needs to be common knowledge. You Tube is Suppressing Free Speech email adds context.
As I finish discussion of a problem, I’ve been making an email of it and bcc’ing it around to all of my contacts, hoping that they’ll forward it to their contacts.
It’s working, slowly. The site is getting thousands of hits and the number is steadily increasing.
If the thousands who learn the whole story start sending out emails, millions will be reached, then many millions. Eventually, we’ll make a real difference.
How to make one of the emails
Email apps. don’t work perfectly with Internet content. Gmail works the best (of the ones I’ve tried.)
Gmail
- copy and paste the subject and body into your email app.
- touch up the formatting. you’ll need to change the size of the text. It starts out really big and should be changed to normal. Even though it looks good on a desktop, the formatting gets all messed up on a mobile
- personalize it, if you like.
- make sure that you leave the “unsubscribe” link so the email doesn’t wind up in the recipient’s spam folder.
- I’m editing them to make sure they’re OK, but you might want to verify that they’ll look good on a smart phone.
- copy the body into a new message (Gmail won’t let you copy anything you’ve sent or received, so if you’ve sent it, you’ve lost it.)
- send the copy to yourself
- fix up your original copy, if necessary
- put ezrakleinshow@nytimes.com in the “to” field
- click “bcc” on the right side of the screen, to protect people’s privacy, click “select contacts”, then select “all” (or as many as you like)
Other email Apps
If your email engine doesn’t support graphics or links
- copy and paste the email text
- copy and paste the email address from your browser’s address field to the top of the email text
- send them out as before
Email Titles
The Whole Story. Noam Chomsky and Robert Reich encapsulate the problems of the nation. Philosophical causes are analyzed. I’m optimistic that most people will find it very persuasive.
YouTube is Suppressing Free Speech Why did YouTube [Google] remove Noam Chomsky’s speech? They’re supporting the status quo and hindering the people who want to fix the system.
Effect of Trump’s Tax Bill Besides hurting the poor and helping the rich, the bill doubles down on trickle down which is really bad for the people and the nation. We the people can end it.
