English should have a gender-neutral pronoun. The choose-your-own-pronoun system that we’re using is just too ugly, awkward, ambiguous, ungrammatical and divisive.
The Finnish word “han” would make a perfect loan word.
Details:
Han: he/she. Hanen: his/her. Hanet: him/her or to him/to her
Examples:
When Kim met hanen friend Lee, Han hugged hanet and gave hanet a kiss.
