If all we do is get rid of Trump…

We are the richest nation on Earth. So why are health care and higher education so costly?

In happier nations, those are considered basic human rights. We could easily afford world-class public benefits — but we don’t have them because our wealth is concentrated at the top.

The USA now has a wealth distribution much closer to China, Russia, and India than to our democratic peers in Europe.

■ Solution

1.) End Trickle-Down. Going back to pre-Reagan income tax rates would allow a vast amount of wealth to be freed up — enough to:

• Fully fund the federal budget

• Undo much of the economic damage of the Trump era

• Buy down the national debt

• Establish universal health care

• Provide free higher education

2.) Overrule Citizens United. Getting big money out of politics would open public office to true patriots again — restoring a government of the people, by the people, for the people.
