I keep wondering why so many of us work harder and still fall behind. This chart explains a lot. In 1990 the bottom 90% of Americans held about 39% of the nation’s wealth, and the top 1% held about 23%. Today they’re nearly equal, around 32% each. That didn’t happen by accident.
